TRUMP ACCOUNTS
Don’t Let the name stop you from taking action! This program is a way to build wealth for your child and it doesn’t cost you anything except 30 minutes of your time.
A Trump Account (as they are referred to) is nothing more than a Traditional Individual Retirement investment account (or like a IRA). The account is held in the child’s name, with a parent or guardian serving as custodian (owner, manager) until the child reaches age 18.
For U.S. citizens born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, the federal government will make a one-time $1,000 contribution into each child’s Individual Investment Account. For these one-time contributions, the custodian must be a parent of a qualifying child on the parents Federal Tax return.
All custodians (managers, owners) can make regular contributions to their children's Investment Account. Investment options in these Child Retirement accounts are currently limited to low cost mutual funds or ETFs that track broad U.S. equity indices (such as the S&P 500). Children born between 2016 and 2024 who don’t qualify for the $1,000 contribution could get $250 if they live in a ZIP code where the median income is $150,000 or less. These funds are being donated by CEO Michael Dell and his wife, Susan. The contributions from the Dell corporation are limited to the first 25 million who enroll. Have your Drivers License available
You will need Social Security Numbers for both the parent and child
You will also need to complete an Identity verification
Allow yourself a minimum of 30 minutes to complete the enrollment. (It is worth the small time commitment)
